I can not tell you how much Daddy and I love you, it just can't be put into words! We are so proud of the great person you are becoming and love being along for the ride as you evolve into yourself! You are so sweet, caring, funny, silly, energetic, patient, and such a good kid. It seems like you look older and grow taller every single day! You can switch from rough housing to cuddling with just one request. You usually let Tyler have his way when he's acting like a crazy selfish toy hog (you know, a three year old). You take responsibility when you've done something you shouldn't have and when you don't get through your school work like you should have. You ask us how our day was. You ask how we're feeling if we've been sick. You take simple, "no's," for answers to your requests. You help Tyler get to the potty when you're the only one in the room with him! You can and do get yourself in and out of the shower, dressed, and ready to walk out the door, you only have any trouble with the "out of the shower" portion of the morning routine, you would love to stay in there all day! You are such a big boy. It's unbelievable.
You love running, swimming, playing with your friends, playing video games, and watching movies. You've learned how to ride your bike this month too and you are loving it. Recently, as we've been doing a good job of getting you to bed on time, you will regularly wake up before me during the week, and come downstairs to watch Pokemon, Power Rangers, or play Video Games until I'm ready to get you ready! One morning you told me you were on your 6th episode of Power Rangers already... meaning you had gotten up about 5! This has never been the norm for our house, even since having kids! Happily for us, you usually sleep in on the weekends, and when you and Tyler do wake up before us, you will watch TV together until you're starving before you come in to wake us up. We really appreciate that!
You would eat mac-and-cheese for lunch and dinner, every day, if we would let you. You love waffles or pancakes with bananas, even more then donuts, for breakfast now. Your other regular foods are cream cheese bagels (plain or cinnamon raisin), or toasted bagels with american cheese, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, cheese quessadilla's, yogurt, carrots, spinach, cheese sticks, Doritos or Cheetos, apples with caramel, grapes, and raisins. You prefer apple sauce to ketchup for dipping your nuggets, and you also dip your grilled cheese in it. I'm pretty sure I just named everything you will happily eat. Anything else is a little bit of a battle, but you are getting better about trying new things. You love water and drink it for pretty much every meal, though you do still usually start your day with chocolate milk. Your favorite restaurant is Glory Days because you love their mac-and-cheese and cornbread. I think Outback would have to be your second favorite,even though we rarely go there, because you are obsessed with their bread. You love McDonald's too, and really don't like to eat burgers from anywhere else.
Your friends are becoming more and more important to you, and you've become very good friends with most of the kids in your class. This season of T-ball you also made fast friends with a few of your teammates. It was good to see you develop those friendships so much more quickly then you usually do. As I've watched you in school the last two years, it seemed as if you were comfortable with the friends you already had, and even when new classmates were trying to become your friend, you just didn't feel like you needed more friends. I'm glad you're now letting everyone be your friend. One little girl in your class has had a crush on you almost all year. She always sits next to you at lunch and talks to you like crazy. You are very nice to her, but you don't seem to like her that way. Another girl in your class has caught your eye though. You didn't tell us about her, but you did tell your cousin Gage, and I could tell when I saw you showing off for her at your birthday party.
You learned so much in school this year. It's been amazing watching you learn to read and write and how to draw and color without scribbling. Your teacher has instilled you with appropriate pride in your work, praising you for your story writing especially and your use of detail words. The difference in your spelling and handwriting from beginning to end of this year has been huge too. I love looking at your schoolwork with you when you bring it home, you tell me all about it, remembering all the key points even months later.
You are just the best, Timmy. We love you so, so much and are so proud of you! I don't know where the last six years have gone, but I know that you've kept us busy, laughing, and so in love!
