Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and really enjoyed sharing the first one with Timmy. While he really had no idea what was going on, he did meet Santa a few times and had no problem sitting on his lap. He also got the hang of opening presents, although he really preferred chewing on the bits of wrapping paper he tore off more then he liked most of the presents!
We went to Ohio for 2.5 days before Christmas, which allowed us to take Timmy to my dad's family's Christmas Eve party, where he got to be the only baby, though his almost three year old twin cousins were there. Next year we're hoping his slightly older cousin, Jayce, will be there, and he's got a new cousin being born in February this year, so he will have to share Santa's attention a little more!

Christmas morning we opened presents at our house before heading to each of his Grandparents houses and Timmy definitely raked in a pile of goodies! It was great being able to see all of our family for Christmas and I already can't wait til next year when he will have a little more of an idea what's going on!

Jenny & Brett's Wedding

Well, Jenny and Brett gave us an extra hectic December this year by giving us one week's notice that they were going to get married on December 21st! You'll see from the pictures that Jenny managed to pull together a complete wedding in that amount of time (I will claim credit for a few items, if I don't get my architecture license by June maybe I'll try a new career as a Wedding Coordinator/Photographer!) The Bride was beautiful, the Groom gave us all a good laugh during the vows, and everyone had a great time! Plus I got to put Timmy in a tuxedo! Congratulations again Jenny and Brett!!!

Timmy's Baptism

On November 30th we had Timmy baptized at Floris United Methodist Church. We had a large crowd of family and friends there to celebrate with us which made it even more special. His Godfather, Billy Clancy, joined us on stage for the baptism. His Godmother, Nicole Fahey, wasn't able to be there because she is teaching in Saudi Arabia for a few years! We will get to see her next week though!

After the ceremony we had a brunch reception at Elena's house and got to spend some more time visiting with everyone. It was a really nice way to finish off Thanksgiving weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We celebrated Timmy's 1st Thanksgiving with 3 family dinners on Thursday! After a rare chance to sleep in, we had our first meal at Tim's Uncle's house, then visited at Elena's house for a while and ended the evening at my parents where my Grandma and two Uncle's were in town visiting. It was a very nice and filling day!

On Friday, we hosted our 8th Annual Mock Thanksgiving with our friends. This tradition started back in college at a friends apartment, and after we all graduated we continued it at parents houses, and then finally the party landed at our house. It is one of my favorite days of the year! Everyone brings one dish and we have the whole traditional Thanksgiving meal all over again! This year we had a smoked turkey and a deep fried turkey, they were both delicious! This year besides friends that are still local, we had people come up from Richmond, the Williamsburg area, and Ohio! I am so thankful that we have all stayed in touch!

Timmy & Riggy

We took some video of Timmy and Riggins playing with each other last night, it's not the best of Timmy's giggle but it's still really cute! It makes me groan every time I watch Riggins tongue go in Timmy's mouth! But, they obviously love each other. :)

5 Months Old

Well, Timmy is 5 months old now and seems to be growing every day! One night last week he slept through the night for the first time, I'm anxiously awaiting a repeat performance of that! These pictures are of Timmy in his new favorite toy, the exersaucer. This thing entertains him for far longer then anything else and it is also a safe way for he and Riggins to check each other out without Tim or I having to intervene (read: push Riggins away before he gets his tongue in Timmy's mouth!) Timmy gives a big giggle to Riggins at least once a day, I keep missing it with my camera, but I am actively trying to get a video of it, so stay tuned!

Nursery

I finally took some decent pictures of the nursery! Tim did an amazing job creating the nursery, he put up the wainscoting and chair rail and did all of the painting, as well as restoring the crib and changing table that his sister and brother had. My contribution to the nursery was this Winnie the Pooh cross stitch. I literally spent my entire pregnancy working on this, countless hours, but it was worth it, I love how it turned out and it makes my happy when I am changing diapers at 3:30 A.M.!!!

Welcome to the Jones Family's Blog!

This Blog is being created because I am having too much trouble with links to my picture sharing websites, and this will give me the opportunity to share stories along with pictures anyways. So, we'll see if I have anything to say! With the holiday's coming up it shouldn't be too hard...

I guess I'll back-track a little bit and start with Halloween. We had a wonderful time taking Timmy around to his Grandparents, Family Friends, Great Grandma's, and Uncle's houses. He was really a good sport about being in and out of his hot (though adorable) costume and the fact that we kept him up until 11:30! Here are some pictures of our Mickey Mouse, Pumpkin Carving and Visiting:
