Cox Farm Visit

We went to Cox Farm on Monday, right after Timmy's early dismissal.  It was a great time to go because this close to Halloween, the weekend crowds are crazy!  We had perfect weather and no lines.  It was especially sweet after not being able to fit a trip into our schedule last year.  The kids have so much fun and there are picture opportunities around every corner!  Win-win!

As soon as you walk through the entrance is the "Fun Tunnel" a wooden structure covered with hay bales perfect for climbing, but also full of tunnels underneath.  It's always our first and last stop.  Timmy was so sweet and stuck with Tyler when we first arrived.  When we stopped again on our way out, Tyler was more comfortable, and they were clearly playing chase with each other, with Tyler trying to catch Timmy.

Timmy remembered the Farm from two years ago and was very much looking forward to the "Obstacle Course" that reminds him of Survivor.

Slides are scattered throughout the farm and Timmy was big enough this year to run ahead and do each slide at least twice, while one of us went with Tyler for his turn.

Tyler's one solo slide - not as much a fan on his own!

There are wooden cutouts and random figures throughout the farm that are a lot of fun.  Tyler especially enjoyed posing with all of them.  He even took off running for a Toad cut out from Mario and insisted Tim take his picture!

The highlight this year was definitely the goats.

Tyler had no reservations and walked right up to the first goat he saw with his cake-cone of goat food.  Timmy followed suit, even though he had been wayyy more hesitant on his last attempt two years ago.

I pointed out a baby goat under the play structure, and Tyler delivered some food to him.

Then Tyler noticed some bigger goats laying down under the other side of the structure, and he made sure that they were not left out.  Tim liked Tyler's delivery service for the lazy goats.

Tyler decidedly did not like when the goats took bites out of the cake-cone itself!  We bought him a second one after the first incident.  He was not interested in feeding them any more after the second one was eaten, "Bad-bag goat!"

We wandered through the entire farm, posing for pictures, taking a hay ride, and climbing on all of the available climbers!

On the way out everyone gets to pick a pumpkin.  This is a big decision and we each made a different choice.
Tim picked one of these dark green ones, in front of Tyler

And one final pose, with a perfect fall backdrop, to make me one crazy happy mommy.
