| Tyler seemed confused as to why I was taking pictures at breakfast, it was cracking me up |
Timmy wanted to wear his Super Hero Squad shirt today, he had told us this several days in a row, and had said he wished he was wearing it last week when we met his teacher. We promised him that he could wear it tomorrow, and he didn't argue when Daddy picked out his clothes. He was ready to take pictures and put his back pack on without even being asked. He continued to smile happily through the rest of my First Day of School props!
On our short drive to Grandad's Timmy talked to Baba; he told her, "Mommy is driving us to Grandad's and THEN WE'RE GOING TO MY FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!!!" I was very excited to hear the excitement in his voice.
It's probably a two to three block walk from Grandad's to school. Timmy and Tyler started off with a pretty quick pace. As we got within sight of the school and all the kids at the entrance Timmy definitely slowed down!
A few more pictures in front of the school and we all headed into the cafeteria, where the students in 3rd grade and under wait until it's time to go to their classroom.
As we got under the overhang of the school and went past some of the older students who were catching up with friends, it got very loud and Timmy's eyes got very big. The cafeteria was also very noisy. Timmy looked a little nervous, but didn't say anything about it. We found Mrs Sheaffer and said good morning. We reminded Timmy of his pin for buying lunch and kept telling him to have so much fun.

| Proof that I was a dry-eyed Mommy! I did swell up as he walked away, but out of pride and excitement, not sadness! |
Finally Timmy's class lined up and followed Mrs Sheaffer to their room. A few of the other kids burst into tears when their line started moving, but Timmy saw me standing by the door and gave me one more happy face!
Last week we got to see Timmy's classroom and meet his teachers, Mrs Sheaffer and Mrs Ivy. Tim didn't need an introduction though, Mrs Sheaffer was Tim's fourth grade teacher! She also taught Becky, Chris, and several of my friends, and was even a guest at our wedding!
Timmy is going into class with several friends, his best buddy Nate, my high school friend's son Carter (who Timmy has played T ball with and known for years), and Izzy from his class last year. The class has 25 students and there are 18 boys!
I can't wait to pick him up this afternoon and hear all about it!!!
