My and Tim's Birthday's

For Tim's birthday this year he was thrilled that it was on a Sunday and that we had nothing to do, after having a very busy Fourth of July week with Shave Ice.  The boys made him cards, I posted Tyler's before because he drew his monsters on it.  Here's Timmy's:

We went to Tim and Susan's for dinner and to give Tim his gifts.  The boys had giant sparklers and sang Happy Birthday while they waved them around.

My birthday also fell on a weekend and we enjoyed a leisurely morning before going to Friday's for lunch and seeing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie.  It was a fun relaxing day and I enjoyed spending it with my boys.  My gift was tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show a few weeks later.  We all really enjoyed it!  Except for the clowns, they were annoying and pretty pointless in the story line.  Timmy had especially little patience for them.  At one time saying rather loudly, "Come on, aren't they done yet??"  But the acrobatics, balancing, and aerial tricks were just incredible!  A lot of the aerial tricks had Timmy asking, "Doesn't that hurt??"  Tyler was the first one clapping for each new stunt and Timmy's jaw was dropped most of the show.  When it was over Tyler said, "Let's stay and watch it again!"  It was a lot of fun!
