I woke up Sunday to find 3 rose bushes, one from each of my boys, that Tim is going to plant on the side of the house for me, along with a card that Timmy and Tyler both colored on for me.
When our parents arrived we had a yummy brunch of omelets, Belgian waffles, roasted potatoes, and fruit. After everyone left and we put Tyler down for a nap, we put the 3D feature of our TV to use for the first time in a while, finally watching Avatar. Tyler woke up as the movie was ending and we all laid around being silly for a while and went outside to blow bubbles and let Timmy drive Bumblebee around a bit. Then Tim had a basketball game to coach; he took Timmy with him and Tyler went down for another nap, so I parked myself on the couch and caught up on some of my reality shows! It was a nice, relaxing day, which is hard to come by for us in the summer!
The Friday before Mother's Day the class mom's and Baba were invited to Timmy's class for breakfast. The kids asked us what we wanted to eat, fixed us plates, and carried it to our seats. Timmy was so sweet, with a big smile, it was great. While we were there they decorated picture frames for us, and they had already made us butterflies, hand towels with their hand prints, and these cute "All About Mom" pictures (this is actually the first time I've seen Timmy draw a person with a body.)
Mrs. B. told me that when she asked Timmy my age, his full response was, "Hmmm, she's older then me... she's 6!" I'll take 6 to the 87 another mom got! He did well on my favorite colors, but I'd have to say the favorite foods are his, Dad does the store duties almost entirely, and I'd say our favorite thing to do is snuggle... but playing basketball is fun too!
To wrap up the celebration they sang us two songs! This was my favorite, and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't requested it a few more times at home!
