9th Annual Mock Thanksgiving

Last weekend we hosted the 9th Annual Mock Thanksgiving at our house. This wonderful tradition is usually the day after Thanksgiving, but that was a very busy weekend this year, so we pushed it back a few weeks. A dozen of our friends made it, some of which haven't come for the past few years, and it made for a very nice group. Timmy even had his friend Carter come, and Carter's new baby sister Callie too! Next year I'm hoping we'll have a few more kids, as Sarah is expecting a boy next May, and Natalie, Stephen, and their son Cavan weren't able to make it this year.

Since we were so close to Christmas this year Tim thought it would be fun to do a white elephant gift exchange. The biggest hits were the pink snuggie Sami got, two sets of lottery tickets that were stolen back and forth a few times, and Timmy seemed pretty happy with the Mr. Potato Head he opened up!

As you can see from the pictures, Timmy got lots of playtime in with Aunt Sami too! Mock Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year! I've already started warning the out-of-towners that they should plan to come to the 10th Annual one next year!
