My Birthday

Well my birthday was two weekends ago and I had a very nice day! Chris and Becky had spent the night, so Becky got Timmy up when he started crying at 7 and Tim and I were both able to sleep in until 10 o'clock! That made it a wonderful birthday right there! :) Once we got moving Tim, Timmy and I had brunch at The Cheesecake Factory (their monte christo is the best breakfast anywhere) and then went to Elena's to swim for a while. Oh, I went on a spending spree at Michael's that afternoon too, I had lots of coupons and am way behind on scrapbooking, it was a dangerous combination! That evening Elena and Al hosted a cookout at their house for me, and my mom and a few friends came over for dinner. To top it all off, Tim spoiled me with a Coach purse for my present!

This past weekend was the Vidnovic's annual Crabfeast that Sami and I use as our birthday party. It was a very yummy evening and I was so excited to see Natalie and Cavan again and also got to see Tanya for the first time in a while! I'm already looking forward to next year!!!

Mom's Big Birthday

Mom celebrated a big birthday this year and Dad and Joe both had to go out of town for the weekend, so I wanted to make sure that Mom had a full and fun day of celebration! I told her that Timmy and I were taking her to lunch, but I also invited my friend Sami and her mom, Kit, and my friend Nicole and her mom, Nancy as a little surprise, and we had a nice time together. After lunch Mom, Timmy and I wandered around the mall for a while before all taking a nap at her house.

That evening, Tim and Nicole met up with us and we all went to the Paul McCartney concert! It was SUCH a good show!!! He played a few new songs but lots of Beatles stuff which were my favorites! Paul came out in a Beatles-esque black suit and opened with "Drive my Car." A few songs in he took the jacket off and let us all know, "that was my big wardrobe change." He changed guitars every few songs, applauded/thanked/bowed to the audience after almost every song, and played for 2 1/2 hours straight! If this concert is coming to your area, go see it!

There's a good review of the concert here if you're interested!

Beach Videos

Here are a few movie clips from our trip too.

Vacation!

We just got back from a wonderful 10 day vacation in Duck, North Carolina, part of the Outer Banks. It was our first real vacation since Spring 2007 so it was much deserved! It was also Timmy's first trip to the beach! Tim, Timmy, and I had a house to ourselves and then Tim's Dad, his girlfriend Susan, Tim's brother Chris, and Susan's son Neil came down and stayed for a week just up the road. It was a nice mix of having time together as our little family and also having another house to spend time at and to have help with Timmy, my perpetual motion machine!!! It was a really nice trip, I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking!

Brittany's Wedding & Natalie's Baby

This past weekend was a very exciting one as I got to celebrate two happy occasions with two of my best friends! Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning I got to attend Wedding Festivities for Brittany and David. I was honored to be one of Brittany's Bridesmaids and am just thrilled for her and David as they continue their journey together, now as a married couple! Brittany's last name is now Jones as well! The wedding ceremony itself was really nice, the pastor incorporated stories from each of their parents weddings which was really sweet and he did an excellent job of tying everything together. The reception was SO much fun and it was really nice to catch up with some friends that I hadn't seen in a long time. The Groom, and two of the Groomsmen, are British, and the Best Man let us all know during his speech that in Britain they don't really do speeches. It was okay though, because he had watched American Pie and Wedding Crashers to educate himself on what to say, and he gave a very entertaining speech! The DJ really kept the party moving, he had trunks full of props, giant afro wigs, maracas, foam cowboy hats, and another favorite, blues brothers hats and glasses! Thank you for having me be a part of your special day Brittany! Congratulations to you and David again!

Sunday afternoon I finally got to meet Natalie's baby boy, Cavan. I say finally because he is already two weeks old! ;) He is adorable as can be, and still smaller then Timmy was when he was born! It was a real treat for me to get to hold such a tiny baby, I can't wait until I get to see him again! Congratulations again to Natalie and Stephen! Our group of friends seems to have one baby every summer, and so far they have all been boys! We have Blaine who just turned 2, Timmy who just turned 1, and now little Cavan! I wonder who will have next summer's baby..? ;)

Father's Day

We celebrated Tim's First Father's Day by taking Timmy to his first Baseball Game! It was a beautiful day to be outside and we went early to tailgate and cookout before hand. We had seats in the first row of one of the upper sections, so Timmy really could see the field and he sat happily watching a good portion of the game. Unfortunately the Nationals lost, but it was still a great day!

1 Year Old!!!

Well, Timmy is a one year old now and officially a toddler! Tim and I both took the day off work to play with Timmy on his birthday and it was a great day! We started off with a trip to the Zoo, accompanied by Timmy's Granddad, Uncle Chris, Susan, Neil, and Zach.

The weather was kind of gray and drizzly, but we really lucked out with the animals. We saw a Tiger walking around, saw the Daddy Panda Bear up and about, and got to see the 5 month old baby Gorilla playing with her Mom.

After the Zoo we decided to go to Chuck E Cheese's and let Timmy run around for a while. He wasn't too sure about the rides at first, but he ended up happily riding a few of them. He did enjoy the skeeball balls, quite a bit and got in a few people's way trying to steal them! He also did a very good job of pushing the buttons for the Deal or No Deal game, he almost won the biggest ticket prize!

For dinner we went to Grandma's house for a cook out with her, PawPaw, Uncle Chris, Aunt Becky and their friends, and Baba and Uncle Joe came over too. I baked a cake for Timmy so he got to sample another one, with his Dad's help he made a little more of a mess this time! Finally we stopped in at Grandpa's for one last present before heading home to bed after our very full day!
