Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween! Halloween means more photo-ops of Timmy and it means that I've been blogging for a full year! Here's Timmy's Halloween picture for this year!

On Halloween we took Timmy to Cox Farms which is a huge pumpkin patch accompanied with a petting zoo, haystacks to climb, food and musicians, and most importantly SLIDES!!! Timmy has a little slide in our living room, and loves going down the slides at the park, but we're talking 20' long slides, and Timmy went down them by himself! He never smiled on the way down, but as soon as he stopped he'd get a big grin and start to try to climb back up the hill to do it again! He also really enjoyed watching the pigs and petting the cows, but he was unsure of the goats, and didn't want anything to do with the chickens or pony!

We spent two hours enjoying the Farm before heading off to visit with all of Timmy's grandparents for the rest of the day. Uncle Joe was home for the weekend to go to a wedding with my parents, which had a costume optional reception! So they were all dressed up too! We also get to see Uncle Brett and Aunt Jenny (who is getting closer and closer to her due date!) which was a nice treat.

And here are the pictures of Timmy and Jayce dressed up together! In the first picture I can just imagine them thinking, "Uhm, why did your mom dress you in that?" Erin and I did NOT plan to make them both monkey's by the way... I think that this age just makes it an obvious choice since they're climbing on EVERYTHING! ;)

Mr. Personality

Timmy's personality has been getting bigger and stronger just like him and he's really developing his sense of humor and adventure! Here are some videos that illustrate what I'm talking about.

Waiting for our lunch to be served last week Timmy started tugging on my sleeve, which was new in itself. I leaned forward and kissed him on the head, which he apparently found entertaining, so he instigated putting the sequence on repeat and turned it into a little game!



Last night Timmy decided to be Evil Knievel and start jumping off the ottoman! Well, jumping isn't quite the right word, it's more like he's walking the plank. This was entertaining enough to put on repeat as well though, he did it for a good ten minutes, took a break for awhile, and started doing it again! I had to intervene when his forehead started getting rug burns!

16 Months

Timmy turned 16 months old while we were in Ohio, and he let me get a picture of him with a big smile to show off how big he's getting!

Fall in Ohio

Timmy, Mom, and I took a long weekend to go visiting in Ohio last weekend and had a really great time! The trip was scheduled so that Erin and I could both get our boys up there and introduce them (not to mention meet each other's sons, ourselves!) Her son, Jayce, and Timmy are three weeks apart in age. The last time we saw each other was when Tim and I visited her and her husband Chris while they were living in Edinburgh. Coincidentally, that was just about when we each began to agree with our husbands that it was time to start our families!

We arrived in Ohio around dinner time on Friday and my Uncle Dale, Aunt Paula, and my cousin Ashley, her son Breydon and her boyfriend Chris came over to Grandma's to meet us. I had met Breydon when he was just a few months old, and I was pregnant but not telling anyone yet. Ashley told Paula as soon as I left that I was pregnant though, she said she could tell from 'the way I looked at her baby!' (This may be hard to believe, but I had a similar experience with *knowing* that my friend Natalie was pregnant before she was telling anyone either!) The boys checked out the aquarium together and played a little 'catch' while we all visited.

Saturday we met with Jayce, Erin, her mom Debbie, and sister Chelsea at Chuck E Cheese's! The boys checked each other out over lunch and then played on the slide and rode a fire truck together. There were mixed reviews on Chuck E. himself, Jayce liked to dance with him while Timmy preferred he just stay away! Playtime was cut short as we had my Uncle Donnie's 50th Birthday Party to go to.

Sunday we met up at a gymnastics gym and let the boys run and bounce around for a while before heading off with them and their twin cousins, Connor and Chloe, to go run around a pumpkin patch all afternoon.

After the pumpkin patch, we all went back to Connor and Chloe's house to warm up, have dinner, and play with their toys! Erin and I put Timmy and Jayce in their Halloween costumes for a photo-op too, but I'm not sharing those pictures just yet, don't want to spoil anything for the Halloween post! ;)

I definitely could have used another day for visiting, but we'll be seeing everyone again soon at Christmas! Timmy was a little trooper on the drive both ways, but he was especially easy on the way home. I think having his Great-Grandma back there for company helped a lot! I'm glad we get another week of visiting with her, since our time in Ohio went by so quickly!

Sarah's Wedding

On October 11th I got to see lots of my favorite people as Sarah and Brian got married. Sarah could not have asked for more from the weather, it was a beautiful day and a beautiful place. Unfortunately Tim was out of town for this one, but it was a really nice chance for me to catch up with everyone.

I am a little bit sad right now as I have no scheduled weddings to look forward to! Of course, the last time I was at that point, I ended up going to 4 the following year. So, I'll just look forward to seeing who will be next!

Playdates and Parks

Timmy has had a few playdates now with Carter and also with Collin, two of my friends kids. Timmy is a few months younger then Carter and almost a year younger then Collin, but the boys have done well with parallel play, and have even taken turns with activities like throwing a ball back and forth. (Notice, I don't say 'playing catch' yet! haha). One particularly cute playdate, Carter had started running from one room to another and Timmy started sort of following him. Carter grabbed Timmy's hand and they ran back and forth together a few times.

On Collin and Timmy's most recent playdate they bonded over being hungry, and spent most of their time picking up and eating raisins they had just dropped.

Mom and I have also been making an effort to get Timmy to the park in recent weeks. Timmy still has his slide in our living room that he plays with daily, and it is his favorite part at the park too. He's not sure about the swings at all yet. He does entertain himself with running away and walking on 'balance beams' while we're there too.

15 Months

Well, I missed posting on 13 months (which occured at the beach) and 14 months, so here are pictures of Timmy from both of those "birthdays."

And here is Timmy on his 15 month birthday! He is really turning into a smart little kid, I'm pretty sure he changes every time I blink. I am positive that he blinks everytime I try to take a picture! He is happy as can be and an animal lover. Here are some pictures of Timmy on his 15 month birthday.

One of Timmy's newest accomplishments is being able to climb onto the ottoman by himself. climbing onto the couch will not be far behind! Notice his tennis shoes are Air Jordan's, a favorite of Tim's growing up!
